How we work together

How We Work Together

Our work together starts with an initial discovery call. We will identify where you are right now, where you want to be, and what seems to be getting in your way. If coaching together seems like a "great fit," we will select the right pathway to support your goals and clear a way forward.

Coaching takes place via a series of one-hour sessions and focuses on a supportive framework of self-awareness, action, accountability, and follow-through. Calls are typically scheduled weekly, but the real momentum happens between our sessions as you put into practice what we have explored in our work together.

You deserve a life built around your authentic values and what works best for you. In this collaborative, judgment-free space, we will cut through the noise, embrace how you are naturally wired, and build a personalized toolbox of practical strategies, techniques, and habits. Together, we will bring structure to the chaos and create lasting, sustainable change.

Below is a look at the core executive function challenges we will tackle and transform together.

Our Areas of Focus

Time Management

  • Sense Time Accurately: We’ll look past rigid calendars to help you practically estimate how long everyday tasks actually take, so you can stop chronically running behind and finally find some "space to breathe."

  • Navigate "Time Blindness": We'll work on bridging the "now vs. not now" gap, helping you naturally feel the passing of time and transition between tasks with less effort.

Task Initiation

  • Master Task Initiation: Let’s figure out how to get you moving smoothly on a task before the intense panic of a last-minute deadline sets in. We’ll build internal motivation strategies that don't rely on stress or adrenaline to get things done.

  • Bypass the Perfectionist Trap: We’ll tackle that "all-or-nothing" anxiety—often called ADHD paralysis—that completely locks you up when you're facing a project. You'll learn how to give yourself permission to take small, practical steps to get your momentum back.

Planning & Prioritizing

  • Energy-Aligned Routines: Instead of forcing yourself into an unrealistic daily routine, we’ll build a sustainable schedule around when your mental/physical acuity is at its best.

  • Learn How to Plan and Prioritize: Planning shouldn't feel like an abstract guessing game. Together, we’ll turn it into a concrete, repeatable skill, using clear frameworks to sort through the daily overwhelm. This will help you to confidently pick your true top priorities when everything feels equally urgent.

Organization

  • Intuitive, Visual Systems: We’ll throw out rigid organizing "rules" and co-design simple, low-maintenance setups that match your natural habits, making them incredibly easy to maintain long-term.

  • Build Effortless "Reset" Habits: We’ll design realistic "reset routines" that make it easy to restore order to your space before things pile up, preventing the cycle of burnout and cleanup.

Attention & Working Memory

  • Protect Your Attention: We’ll implement practical, everyday techniques to quiet the distractions, manage your hyper-focus, and keep your eyes on what truly matters to you, moving you firmly out of "survival mode" and back into the driver's seat.

  • Externalize the "Mental Scratchpad": It’s exhausting trying to hold a million loose details in your head. We’ll design customized "external brain" tools, visual prompts, and tactile cues to carry that heavy cognitive load for you.

Flexible Thinking & Perseverance

  • Build Cognitive Flexibility: Life doesn't always go according to plan. We’ll develop practical strategies to help you smoothly navigate unexpected transitions or sudden shifts, making sure your day bends instead of breaks.
  • Sustainable Accountability: Forget rigid, punitive tracking. We’ll establish a supportive, reliable system of accountability and follow-through that honors your non-linear brain and keeps you moving forward.

Self-Awareness & Emotional Regulation

  • Discover Your Wiring: We’ll uncover your unique learning and processing modalities (how you take in and process information) so you can intentionally leverage how your mind naturally processes information.

  • Shift to Self-Compassion: We’ll actively move away from frustration, shame, and self-criticism toward deep self-kindness. You'll learn how to navigate your neurodivergent wiring with understanding rather than judgment.

  • Advocate and Set Boundaries: We’ll practice clear communication tools and establish healthy personal and professional boundaries. This will empower you to confidently request exactly what you need to succeed!
